Thrust angle of steering geometry, all angle about steering geometry
Type of angles of steering geometry:-
There are many angles which are related to the steering geometry, some are mention below-
1. Thrust angle.
2. Camber angle.
3. Caster angle.
4. Included angle.
Thrust angle of steering geometry
Thrust angle of steering geometry:-
The thrust angle is an imaginary line which drawn perpendicular to the rear axle centerline. It compare to the direction that the rear axle is aimed with the centerline of the vehicle. It also confirm if the rear axle is parallel to it's front axle and the wheel base on both sides of the vehicle is same.
In other words an angle between the centerline of the vehicle and an imaginary line from rear axle which is perpendicular of the rear axle centerline is known as thrust angle.
Thrust angle of steering geometry
Camber angle:-
An angle between centerline of the wheel and vertical line of the wheel known as camber angle.
Type of camber angle:-
It is basically two type
1. Positive camber angle.
2. Negetive camber angle.
Caster angle:-
An angle between centerline of the wheel and centerline of the king pin, known as caster angle.
Type of caster angle:-
It is basically two type
1. Positive caster angle.
2. Negetive caster angle.
Included angle:-
It is a addition of camber angle and king pin inclinations.
