Which engine have more compression ratio between petrol or diesel and why
Description of Which engine have more compression ratio between petrol or diesel and why:-
1. The petrol engine have low compression ratio because of the petrol is high flammable product. If we trying to more compress it then petrol get fire automatically and due to this it may not allow to reach piston at fully ignition point. In resulting we cannot get full power output and proper working of engine. That's why the engineers always make low compression petrol engine and it almost use in light vehicle.
2. But we need more power and more torque to carry more load in load carrying vehicle.
Which engine have more compression ratio between petrol or diesel and why
3. That's why every heavy vehicle have diesel engine because the diesel is less flammable as compare to petrol. That's why we compress the diesel more than petrol and as you know more air compresses- than more and big blast into the combustion chamber- and finally we get more power output.
4. The petrol engine compression ratio range is between 9:1 to 14:1.
5. The diesel engine compression ratio range is between 14:1 to 24:1.
