Gasoline direct injection fuel system (GDI)
Introduction:-
Construction of gasoline direct injection fuel system (GDI):-
Understand construction of gasoline direct injection fuel system (GDI) in diagram of GDI as above.
Gasoline direct injection fuel system (GDI)
Working of gasoline direct injection fuel system (GDI):-
As a normal fuel supply system in the GDI fuel supply system the fuel starts flow from fuel tank to the low pressure pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure sensor, high pressure pump and finally into the fuel rail. At another place the EMS (engine management system) receiving signals from various sensors which are works with fuel system and also with the engine. After receiving signals the EMS does calculations of the fuel requirment of the engine thenafter EMS operate the electromagnet injectors and inject the fuel into the combustion chamber as per requirment. In this system on the fuel rail there is a PRV (pressure release valve). The PRV release the excess pressure of the fuel return to the fuel tank.
Advantages of gasoline direct injection fuel system (GDI):-
1. It control on fuel consumption.
2. Control on exhaust pollution.
3. It helps to engine for smooth running in every weather and in every conditions.
